Coding Giants, a fast-growing digital education platform teaching coding skills to children and teens, has closed an €8.5 million investment round led by True Global Ventures (TGV) with follow-on participation from PortfoLion Capital Partners. The funding will support Coding Giants’ ambitious global expansion plans, including Spanish-speaking communities in the USA, and further development of its AI-driven educational solutions.
Coding Giants is a hybrid-model coding school offering live and online courses to students aged 6–19. Operating in 12 countries, the company has rapidly grown to become a leader in digital education, reaching over 15,000 active students and conducting lessons for nearly 200,000 participants since its inception.
After dominating the Polish market, Coding Giants expanded internationally, with Spain and Italy as its key markets, growing over 4 times year-over-year internationally.
The company’s hybrid model combines small-group live sessions with digital materials, providing a flexible, high-quality learning experience tailored to different age groups. “We’ve always aimed to go global,” highlighted Dawid Leśniakiewicz, Chief Revenue Officer at Coding Giants. “Our approach is to work with the best local coding professionals to deliver effective, hands-on courses. Spain and Italy were significant milestones - these were the first international markets where we managed to prove our business model, and now we are ready to scale globally” - he added.
In early 2023, after closing a EUR 3.5 million investment round led by PortfoLion Capital Partners, Coding Giants successfully turned towards international expansion and set foot in Spain and Italy. With the latest round of EUR 8.5 million investment from True Global Ventures (TGV) and PortfoLion, the management plans to expand to new markets. Next year, the team will launch operations in Germany and the Americas, including the US, followed by additional markets in the next few years. True Global Ventures, a global venture capital firm regulated in Singapore, led the current round. “Coding Giants’ strong market position and unique approach to enriching human-to-human interactions with top-notch technology, including AI, make them a unique player in the digital education space,” said Konrad Wawruch, Founding Partner at TGV, now joining the Supervisory Board of Coding Giants. “We’re excited to support their mission to prepare the next generation for the future, with their 5x year-to-year growth on international markets, 80% overall growth and amazing capital efficiency.”
Due to Coding Giants' outstanding results since their last funding round, PortfoLion Capital Partners also participated in this round.
Coding Giants has demonstrated extraordinary growth and scalability, said Zsolt Mihály, Principal at PortfoLion. Their results in Poland, Spain, and Italy validate the potential for international success.
In addition to international expansion, the company will enhance its AI-powered Learning Management System (LMS) by developing an AI tutor that monitors live sessions, provides real-time guidance to trainers, and improves student outcomes. “Our AI tutor will redefine how coding is taught, ensuring quality and accessibility on a global scale,” said Leśniakiewicz. With the help of their newly introduced AI solutions, Coding Giants will be able to scale their quality educational system on a global level and provide millions of students with access to digital knowledge.
